Meet Customer Service Manager, Will Nelson

If you have called ever called or emailed our Customer Service team you have communicated with one of our amazing reps. While you may have had a moment to chit-chat with a rep about the weather, we thought we would introduce you to the man behind it all, our CS Manager, Will Nelson (yep, that’s his real name)!

This is the first in a series we are calling #MeetTheStaff where you can learn more about our wonderful team members and their roles here at Catered Fit!

Q: What is your role at Catered Fit?
A: Customer Service Manager

Q: If you could pick one thing for Catered Fit to turn into a book/TV show about the company, what would it be?
A: I would definitely love to have a TV show focused on our offices at headquarters here in Ft. Lauderdale. The IT gang, our customer service team and our marketing crowd all have this incredible mix of personalities. It would be an epic TV show! Like The Office…but better.

Q: What are 3 words to describe working here?
A: Impactful, Diverse, Awesome

Q: Any random facts you could share with us?
A: 15% of all iPhone users in the US use an iPhone with a broken screen. (I am not one of them!)

Q: Do you have a favorite quote?
A: Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today – Will Rogers. This is super important to me, I always try to tackle each day with a renewed energy and excitement. Sometimes, it’s easier said than done.

Q: How do you define success from your team? For yourself?
A: For me personally, I define success as delivering more than what is expected of me. For my team, I try and support them in pushing past perceived boundaries in an an ongoing effort for self improvement. I think that is really success for everyone, delivering growth and improvement.

Q: What do you love about working here?
A: Knowing that I am a part of something positive that impacts the daily lives of so many people.

Q: What’s your favorite Catered Fit meal?
A: There are way too many to have a favorite! But whenever I can, I sneak a dessert from the back, the Banana Brownie is great!

Q: What’s your personal mantra?
A: Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made.

Q: Are you reading any books? What book is on your nightstand?
A: How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie. Not many people know this, but we actually have an unofficial Catered Fit book club. Adam (our CEO) is a big reader, and we all pass around books that we think are meaningful or a good read.

Q: What is your hidden talent?
A: I’m actually a very good basketball player

Q: What’s your proudest moment at Catered Fit?
A: Being promoted to Customer Service Manager was a great moment. I hadn’t been with Catered Fit that long, but I had been pushing myself forward with the goal of having a greater contribution to the company!

Q: What’s your go to karaoke song?
A: Journey – Don’t Stop Believin, it is always a crowd pleaser.

Q: What aspect of your role do you enjoy most?
A: Just being able to work with such an awesome group of people that bring great energy and enthusiasm to the office day in and day out.

Q: Who inspires you?
A: My Parents

Q: What does leadership mean to you?
A: To me leadership comes from a clear vision, passion, and self awareness that empowers others to follow by choice not by force and by that standard Catered Fit has incredible leaders in every single department.

Q: What do you do on your days off?
A: I am an avid sports fan, poker player, and movie enthusiast. And honestly, I am always checking on things for work. I know my job affects people’s lives, so even when I’m not in the office I try to keep an eye on what is happening.

Q: Invisibility or ability to fly?
A: Definitely being invisible! (I’m not too fond of heights.)

A: New York Jets
